WATER 491. Senior Thesis/Research in Water Science. 3 Credits.

A project-based capstone experience where individual students address a specific aspect of water science through the use of scientific and mathematical skills.
P: Senior standing, Math 260 with C or better, instructor consent. REC: Geoscience/Env Sci 432, Water 330, or other appropriate course depending upon focus of thesis project
Fall and Spring.

BIOLOGY 491. Applied Research in Stream Restoration and Water Quality. 3 Credits.

This course will introduce students to local, community-based research centered on evaluating the impact of restoration and land-management efforts on stream water quality in Manitowoc County, Wisconsin. Students will participate in classroom instruction, hands-on field and lab research, data analysis, and presentation of their work in various formats/settings.
P: Completion of either BIOLOGY 201/202 or BIOLOGY 203/204 with grade of C or better, or instructor consent.
