ENGR 436. Measurement, Instrumentation, and VLSI Systems. 3 Credits.
This course provides an integrated study of modern electronic systems with emphasis on measurement and instrumentation and VLSI circuit design. Students will learn the principles of sensors, transducers, signal conditioning, and data acquisition, as well as CMOS logic design, subsystem development, and testing methodologies in VLSI systems. The course highlights how measurement and VLSI technologies intersect in applications such as automation, biomedical devices, and IoT systems. Through analysis and design of both analog and digital subsystems, students gain a unified understanding of how modern electronic systems are built, measured, and optimized for real-world performance.
