COMP SCI 171. Technology, Ethics, and Society. 3 Credits.
This course provides a foundational understanding of ethics, cybersecurity, and cyberspace protection. By integrating knowledge across fields, students will learn to identify and address ethical and security challenges, including data privacy and cyber threats. Emphasis is placed on developing key skills such as locating, evaluating, managing, utilizing, and citing information appropriately. Students will be equipped to apply ethical reasoning and cybersecurity strategies to make informed, responsible technological decisions, regardless of their discipline.
