COMM 480. Cases in Communications and Media Management. 3 Credits.

This course examines the strategies and practices of communication and media management in organizations. Students integrate their knowledge of oral, written, and visual communication to solve real-world cases.
P: at least 15 credits of core supporting courses in Communication

COMM SCI 480. Practicum in Local Citizenship. 3 Credits.

In conjunction with the visits through the Green Bay’s City Hall Academy Curriculum (held in May–June of each year), the course bookends this experience with reflection, volunteering, and networking for maximizing learning and practicing of active involvement in the Green Bay community, giving students transferable skills to bring to their own communities, present and future. This is a community–based learning course that supports (1) application of academic knowledge and critical thinking skills, (2) collaborative partnership between university and community, and (3) reflection leading to deeper understanding of community issues and development of civic engagement skills.
