BUS ADM 201. Principles of Sustainability in Business. 3 Credits.
This course provides an introduction to sustainability as a strategic and operational priority in modern business. Students examine the historical and theoretical foundations of sustainable development, explore the ecological and ethical principles that guide responsible management, and analyze how key stakeholders such as governments, employees, consumers, investors, and civil society shape sustainability outcomes. The course investigates how sustainability considerations influence organizational decisions, practices, and long-term strategies across a wide range of activities. A lab component offers applied, hands-on activities that reinforce core concepts and strengthen practical understanding.
